Yonhap News Agency revealed on October 23, America, China, South Korea, Australia and other nations in the world will comprehensively prohibit the sale of incandescent lamp from next year, extending regulation range from the existing business area to home and indoor lighting. With the benefit of prohibition of incandescent lamp grows in different regions in the world, LED lighting will slowly enter home and indoor lighting market which is without any doubt that it is the driving force for the development of LED lighting market.
It is learned that America will forbid produce and sell 60 and 40 watt incandescent lamp from 2014. While China will prohibit import and sell general lighting incandescent lamp over 60 watt. Brazil will grow and control the 40 watt incandescent lamp. Russia, Australia and South Korea will restrain the use of incandescent lamp. Europe and Japan have totally stopped use of incandescent lamp since 2012.
Except for LED light to replace incandescent lamp, the CFL also drew numerous attention. But as CFL contains toxicants like hydrargyrum, most think that LED will be the winner at last.
Yonhap News Agency also disclosed that when the market scale of home lighting expands, Samsung, LG INNOTEK and Seoul Semiconductor are expected to benefit most. Korean enterprise succeeded in turning mid-power products applied in the field of TV backlight module into lighting products by taking the advantage of current situation.
