The Price of LED light will be close to general light within two years
Nanfang Daily: Most of the small sized companies are suffering from the dilemma of LED cost. Is there a possibility to cut down LED price by the means of technology?
Wu Yulin: The price of LED light will be close to general light within two years. In the fact, the price of existing LED products is already lower that general light. Electronics all get such advantage. For example, the cell phones first launched might cost 10 or 20 thousand yuan, but now we can buy one costing only 499 yuan. To realize the decline of cost and price by technological means is possible. It also indicates that LED industry will not be sluggish and there is still ten more years to flourish.
Imaging there are 400 million families in China and each one of them using 3 LED lights, there is a market scale of at least 30 billion yuan, not counting the international market. Additionally, the numerous virtues of LED itself and is suitable for individualized design. So it is natural to be new favorite of government and companies. It will only go forward but not retreat when replacing the old one.
The healthy lighting may realize industrialization in five year if promoted by the government
Nanfang Daily: Is there a saying that the outlet of LED lighting lies in healthy lighting?
Wu Yulin: I suddenly came across with a question that day why the parents were ok with the fact that the eyes of the child were burnt to blind by bath heater? The transmittance of children’s eye balls can be 100% and slowly decline with the growing of age. The light should conform to the status of human in order to protect the eyes.
