LED street light in America may reach $25 billion in 2016
As the research report of American market research institution Freedonia shows, it is estimated that by 2016, American light market will reach up to $25 billion. The need for lighting in America will increase by 7.4% every year and reach $25.1 billion.
American LED illuminators TBT inform council first deliberated on the newly published LED street light aging line test procedure TBT notification. The procedure figured out the regulation of LED lumen output, input power and relative spectral distribution. In addition, it also worked out the way to measure LED light flux conservation rate to speculate the extra working time.
It is known that all these regulations are closely related to LED lighting products and America is one of the major export markets of China. LED light export to America from China in 2012 will be more than 10 billion yuan. It is likely to have a great impact for Chinese LED industry once the America notified specifications are formally put into force.
The commercialization of LED lighting also has a strong impact on profession. The longer the lifespan, the more the power has. But now, it only takes up to a small proportion. It is expected by 2016, there is going to grow particularly slight of LED lighting requirement. The rapid development of LED lighting source will make them more energy-saving, brighter and affordable. Further more, lighting manufacturers are employing the device only for LED to optimize its function, making it the first-rate artwork among lighting products.
Lighting commodities include portable and non-portable device s and the accessories for sale alone such as after sale ballast for metal halide lamp, accessories and the switches. The primary need for lighting is because of non-portable device, achieving nearly two third of the total lighting. The non-portable illuminators originated from the widely use of construction and vehicle application. It is predicted that by 2016, benefitting from the increase of construction activity and need for vehicles, the requirement of non-portable device will grow strongly latterly.
As is forecasted the need for non-portable light simply doubles between 2013 to 2016. The energy-reducing lighting brands will gain the best added prospects throughout each primary segmentations market. This is largely attribute to the need for energy-saving products in power independence and security law put forward in 2007: the regulation on sales restriction of incandescent lamp. These regulations will try their best to drive the light source need for fluorescent lamp, halide torch, and high strength electro-discharge and LED street light aging line.
