The Cree company recently launched a new LED Globe light bulbs below 10USD, which will significantly impact LED lighting industry.
It is Cree’ first time to launch A – type LED Globe light bulbs.
The series of LED bulbs called Cree LED bulbs, consisting of three models: cool white, is equivalent to 60 w $12.97; The white light, is equivalent to 60 w $13.97; 40 w, warm white is equivalent to $9.97. The bulb’s price is very competitive, broke through the $15 and $10 .In other words, Cree not only make the light bulb, and this price also belower than US$10, a big threat to competitors.

This series are all dimmable, CRI80, 25000 hours’s lifespan. The price of the replacement of 60W incandescent bulbs is US$13, 9.5W 800lm(2700K) (84.2 lumens per watt). Price of the replacement of 60 W incandescent (5000 k) is 15US$,9W 800lm, (88.9 lumens per watt). Price of replacement of 40W(2700 k) incandescent is $10, 6W 450 lumens (75 lumens per watt).
In hardware aspect, Cree LED light bulbs appears to be a very traditional design. It is funny to note that in order to prevent the glass shell broken, Cree using the sticky rubber coating on the glass. Glass and light bulb shape of Cree bulb to achieve the real 360 degree lighting mode.
Internal design using XP -e structure around a central tower, its internal driving circuit. This is modeled on the filament of an incandescent lamp design, more reminiscent of the outdated “corn cob” type of LED light bulb . Corn cob bulb was once very popular, but the light quality is poor, so it has been replaced by more advanced technology.
